ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Electronics II Laboratory-ELEN 315

Location:  J. B. Moore Hall - Rm. 315

Purpose of the Lab:  This laboratory course is designed to reinforce concepts covered in the companion Electronics II lecture (ELEN 313).  The experiments and lab assignments cover the topics of DC and AC operating parameters of field effect transistors, the AC and DC operating parameters of the differential amplifier, low and high frequency response of transistor amplifiers and frequency response of filters.

Equipment/Apparatus:  The following experimental set-ups are available for lab use.

  • Digital Multimeters
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Function Generators
  • Power Supply Voltage Source

Experiments:

Experiment 1

Single Stage Junction Field Effect Transistor (JFET)

Experiment 2

Two Stage Junction Field Effect Transistors (JFET)

Experiment 3

Introduction to the Differential Pair / Differential Amplifier

Experiment 4

Voltage Gain of the Differential Amplifier

Experiment 5

Low Frequency Behavior of Transistor Amplifiers

Experiment 6
