Program Educational Outcomes

(Criterion 3)

Each civil engineering student by the time of graduation will be able to:

1. apply knowledge of math, science, and engineering.

2. design and conduct lab experiments as well as to critically analyze and interpret data in oral, written and graphical format in at least four of the major civil engineering areas: environmental, structures, transportation, and water resources.

3. design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs in at least four of the major civil engineering areas.

4. identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems using techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for the practice of civil engineering in at least four of the major civil engineering areas.

5. function in multi-disciplinary teams and understand the professional practice while demonstrating ethical responsibilities.

6. engage in life-long learning, and develop an understanding of the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context with the knowledge of contemporary issues.
