The Irving J. and Darlene A. Matthews Scholarship Endowment
Irving Matthews is a graduate of Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.  Mr. Matthews and his wife Darlene Matthews established the Irving J. and Darlene A. Matthews Scholarship Endowment in 2006. The scholarship recognizes the under-representation of minorities particularly African Americans in engineering education.  Incoming engineering freshmen who are African American male with demonstrated financial and social needs are invited to apply.
