The Mechanical Engineering department has 16 fully equipped laboratories that support both instruction and ongoing research projects. The laboratories are located in the P.B.S. Pinchback Engineering building (PEB) on the SUBR Campus.

AMR Laboratory
The Advanced Materials Research Laboratory is a group of laboratories with facilities for thermal and mechanical characterization of materials. These include Metallurgy and Materials Laboratory, Thermal and Fluids Laboratory, and Materials Properties Simulation and Modeling Laboratory, and is the latest addition to the arsenal of facilities present at SU.
